Frank Dewey Staley is the author of four novels and a collection of short stories. He was born and raised on the shores of Lake Superior, a location that features prominently in many of his writings.
His works seem always to incorporate a variety of characters, some from everyday life, many others from a more diverse talent pool. Throughout his short stories and novels there exist questions we all seem to ask about: spirituality, the dimensions of relationships, sin and redemption. Primarily, these works are intended to make us look at the other side of ourselves, at our alter-egos, at our fragility as well as our strength.
FDS lives in the mountains of Virginia but can often be found in Galway in Ireland, his self-proclaimed house of soul.
